Trading for
everyone.
SpotChain Digital is committed to making our platform usable by all people, regardless of ability or assistive technology. This page explains what we do, and what we're still working on.
WCAG 2.1
We target Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.1 at AA compliance across our web platform.
Screen Readers
Our platform has been tested with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver (macOS/iOS), and TalkBack (Android).
Keyboard Nav
Every function of our platform is accessible via keyboard alone, without requiring a mouse.
What we've built
These accessibility features are available on our platform today.
Semantic HTML
All pages use proper landmark roles, heading hierarchy (H1–H6), and semantic elements to ensure screen readers can navigate content predictably.
ARIA Labels
Interactive controls (buttons, inputs, modals, dropdowns) include descriptive aria-label and aria-describedby attributes.
Focus Management
Keyboard focus is trapped inside modals when open. Focus is returned to the triggering element on close. All interactive elements have a visible :focus-visible outline.
Colour Contrast
Text and interactive elements meet or exceed the WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratio of 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, in both light and dark modes.
Dark Mode
A high-contrast dark mode is available across the entire platform, toggled without page reload. System preference is respected on first visit.
Text Resizing
All layouts are tested at 200% browser zoom. Text-only zoom up to 200% does not break layout or cause horizontal scrolling.
Skip Navigation
A skip-to-main-content link is the first focusable element on every page, allowing keyboard users to bypass the navigation.
Form Labels
Every form input has a visible and associated
Alt Text
All images that convey meaning include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images use empty alt="" and role="presentation".
No Autoplay
No audio or video content autoplays. Any media with audio has user-accessible playback controls.
Responsive Design
The platform is fully usable on mobile devices and scales correctly when using OS-level text size adjustments.
Reduced Motion
We respect prefers-reduced-motion. Users who have enabled reduced motion on their OS will see fewer animations.
Known limitations
We're transparent about areas we're still improving. These are on our roadmap for remediation.
TradingView Chart Widget
The embedded charting library has limited keyboard accessibility for advanced drawing tools. Basic chart navigation (zoom, pan) is keyboard-accessible. Full drawing tool access requires a mouse.
PDF Documents
Some downloadable reports and statements are not yet fully tagged for screen readers. We are working through our document library to add proper PDF accessibility.
Live Price Ticker
The auto-scrolling price ticker is decorative and does not require keyboard focus. Prices are accessible in full on the Markets page via a static table.
